We convey our positive energy so as to make you feel pleasant and welcome.Mr Panaritis, how did you come up with the idea of «21»? Which is the reason that played an important role so as to open this place?
Having grown up in the field of tourism industry and after many years of experience in Greek restaurants and hotels, I chose to open my own place, something that happened in September of 2012, after I completed my military service. The truth is that despite my parents’ urge to leave abroad, I decided to do business here, in my homeland, so I created “21”, an every day café bar restaurant with delicious coffee, food, drinks, music and friendly atmosphere.
Regarding the second part of your question, it is worth emphasizing the important role of the charming neighborhood of Psyrri, that made me want to work there, as well as the cooking courses I took in the Tourist School of Anavyssos. It’s a great school, the only public in Greece, holding the traditions of classic cooking and helped me learn well the international and Mediterranean cuisine.
As a professional, do you focus your attention on specific areas? And what is it that makes your business standing out?
Well, we are a family run business that we aim to our customers’ amusement. We all want to convey our positive energy so as to make you feel pleasant and welcome. What makes us different is the fact that we harmonically combine tradition with modern elements. We offer tasteful dishes based on the excellent cuisine of Laconia and specifically the region of Monemvasia, from where I am from, and we prepare everything with zest, using only natural ingredients (pure olive oil, honey etc). So as a result our customers recognize the good quality food and keep coming again and again.

It opened in 2004 and soon became one of the favourite dining spots in Santorini. It is called Metaxy mas which means.. between us, but it is not a secret any more that this restaurant has a rich menu with almost 40 different dishes and appetizers based on traditional Greek cuisine.

The Marmita Restaurant is now a part of the history of Santorini, since it has been operating in Megalochori since 2004. From 2013 it s been running under the observation of new owner Giannis Manikas and the sense of renewal is obvious.
