Description of Nafpaktos
The port town of Nafpaktos charms with elegance and traditional architecture. The castle towering on the rocky hill offers spectacular views to the sea, the Corinthian Gulf and the Peloponnese across the sea and the surrounding area. Nafpaktos is a destination ideal for any time of the year as it offers a wide range of hotels and apartments, restaurants and taverns. The town became famous for the Battle of Lepanto in 1571 between the Ottomans and the Holy League, depicted also in the famous painting.

Nafpaktos is just 3 hours far from Athens and 1 hour from the city of Patras. From Athens, follow the Athens-Patras highway and after crossing the new Rio-Antirio Bridge, head to Nafpaktos.
