The historic city of Mystras is located 5 km northwest of Sparta with the double-headed eagle of Byzantium as its emblem. The city of Mistras is the citadel of Constantine Palaiologos the last emperor of Byzantine. It offers good food in restaurants and taverns and accommodation in beautiful hotels and hostels.
