The Melivoia chestnuts are famous for the quality, luster, size and taste. Each year in October, the Chestnut Festival is organized by the locals, as part of product promotion.Take the National Road from Athens to Thessaloniki and reach the city of Larissa. Coming out from the east exit of the town, follow the street to Agia. The village is almost 28 km away from the city center of the prefecture capital.
