The pass of Poros
An amazing place surrounded by pine trees, it has inspired many literary people like the Nobelist Giorgos Seferis, Kosti Palama, Ioulia Dragoumi and the famous writer Henry Miller.
The houses of Poros
They are excellent samples of the neoclassical architecture. Look for Deimezi building, thw Grivas’ shop with the beautiful interior decoration and villa Galini which has hosted great personalities of Art.
The Monastery
With only one central gate it is surrounded by tall walls, at the precinct there is the temple and the tomb of the Tombazis family and the tomb of Miaoulis. The construction is a sample of island monastery architecture.
The Temple of Posidon
A few remains are left today from the Doric Temple, it is made of blue limestone, it has 34 columns. The temple was a asylum for fugitives and castaways.
Ancient Trizina
It is a very interesting place, known as the homeland of Thiseas. All the archaeological finds are located in the archaeological Museum.
