Plakes is a small village with white houses and narrow streets, located between the villages of Plaka and Triovassalos. Built on the foothills of the castle, Plakes took its name because of the fact that the area was flat (meaning flat place). You can visit the church of the village St Charalambos, where there is one of the oldest icons painted in Milos, the icon of Panagia Akradiotissa. In the village of Plakes there are several hotels to stay. While in Plakes, stroll around the alleys and take beautiful photos of Milos.
