Authentic Cretan cheese!
With a century of experience in cheese-making, family Costakis began in 1975 the operation of the dairy on Tzitzifes Apokoronou producing authentic Cretan cheese following traditional recipes but with all modern technological methods.
The careful selection of milk from animals that graze freely in hilly and mountainous areas of Chania, gives excellent cheeses with high quality and taste among which the famous Cretan Graviera Kostakis made from sheep's milk aged for 3-6 months.
You can find Costakis cheese products on the Municipal Market of Chania and you can obtain the following types of cheese:
Graviera or Cretan Graviera cheese (Cretan Graviera Costakis), Parmesan, Anthotyros fresh, Anthotyros dry, Staka, Staka butter, Graviera with oil (oil cheese), Tyromalama (malaka), White cheese (feta), Galomyzithra (xynomyzithra) and Yoghurt from sheep milk.
