Classic tour of Tunisia & oasis
First day FLIGHT FOR TUNISIA - Monastir - El Jem - Hammamet
Arrival in the country that shines through 3,000 years of history and remains a perennial crossroads of cultures, shaped by the inimitable skills of children, the sparkling waves of the Mediterranean and the rhythm of ancestral Africa. Arrival at the airport and welcomed by our representative. We will do a short tour in the most Westernized city and birthplace of Tunisia's former president and the reformer, Habib Bourguiba., The Monastir and then go to the town of El Jem where tour followed in sixth largest Roman amphitheater in the world homonym that could 30,000 visitors gather once the Colosseum of Rome had a capacity 43,000 people. Built in 230 AD Today it hosts every year Music Festival. Departure for Hammamet. Arrival at our hotel. Lunch and settle in our rooms. Afternoon free for relaxation, dinner and overnight.
2nd day Hammamet - Tunis - Hammamet
After breakfast we will depart for a tour of Tunis. Over 2,000,000 people living and working in the capital. The city is surrounded by three lakes, the Medina and the modern city. At the center is the avenue Habib Bourguiba and the Independence Square. Visit the Bardo museum with its famous mosaics and then lunch. Departure for the city's bazaars, souks, and tour the city and visit the ruins of ancient Carthage located on a high hill. Then we visit the fishing village of Sidi Bou Said with imposing houses and a remarkable panorama and late afternoon we depart for our return to the hotel. Dinner and overnight.
Hammamet third day (free day)
Free day with full board at our hotel for rest and relaxation. Enjoy the comforts of your hotel, or take a stroll in the city and bustling bazaars.
4th day Hammamet - MATMATA - SHOWER - Tozeur
After breakfast departure from Hammamet towards the adventurous and mysterious south of Tunisia. Our first main stop will be to visit the Berber village of Matmata. A village full of craters resembling a lunar landscape where time seems to have stopped many years ago. In this place we find a Berber tribe known for its unique way of life, language and its own customs and traditions. Many families still continue to live on earth. Then check the shower, known as door Sahara, which is the center of the nomadic tribe called Mrazikg. Around the city, the dunes offer an amazing spectacle. The shower is the perfect place to get a taste of the life of the caravan by an optional camel ride into the desert and dunes, sweet and unrepeatable colors of the desert, offering ourselves a memorable experience. Lunch and then depart for Tozeur via Kempili and lake reflections. Check the oasis - paradise Tozeur. Arrange to our hotel for dinner & overnight.
5th day Tozeur
Breakfast and then visit the city of Tozeur is famous for its architecture and the Folklore Museum Dar Serait showing scenes of everyday life in Tunisia with some old traditions that are still valid today. The Tunisian South is now a vantage point that tourism uses with success. All amenities are secured and there is a strong infrastructure. Lunch at the hotel. Free time and then after dinner at our hotel we have prepared an optional folklore evening with belly dancing in a traditional Bedouin tent superb in the vast plantations of the oasis. Back to hotel and overnight.
6th day Tozeur - turpentine-OREINES OASEIS - Tozeur
After breakfast excursion to follow Oasis of turpentine located 25 km from the oasis of Tozeur. It is the old Roman Agkersel Nept with 152 natural springs. The most beautiful spot called La Korpi from where we can admire from above the oasis known white houses, marabou. Back to hotel and dinner. Below afternoon excursion 4x4 in mountain oases situated in a unique landscape over the Atlas Mountains, inhabited by the centuries offering exciting trips to exotic places, diverse inspiring visitors, who must follow the instructions exactly escorts . Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 7 Tozeur - Kairouan - Sushi - Port El Kantaoui - Monastir (return flight)
After breakfast depart for the north. Followed by a tour in the holiest city (capital of Agklaviton) of Tunisia to Kairouan, which is the fourth most religious city in the world after Mecca, Medina and the Jerusalem. Visit of the city, tour the sanctuary and mosque in the tanks of Aglaviton. The great mosque is considered as the most revered edifice of Tunisia, the main raw materials of construction bricks, marble and cedar wood. Then visit a workshop on making traditional carpets with detous knots, which occurred prior to the Tunisian. Lunch and then depart for the seaside town of Sousse, where we will have free time to the famous shopping center and the colorful bazaars of the latest markets. Dinner at a seaside hotel and then evening stroll in the picturesque marina of El Kantaoui, one of the most modern and extensive marinas in the Mediterranean. Then transfer to the airport for our return flight. Check the dawn of the next day in Athens.
