Areopagus
The Areopagus, Areios Pagos or Mars’ Hill is a bare marble hill across the Acropolis in Athens. This is the hill of the high court in antiquity and where Paul the Apostle gave his speech introducing Christianity in Athenians. Nowadays, it is one of the most popular places to visitors who want to enjoy the view to both Acropolis and the city of Athens for free.

Europa (meaning wide face) is the daughter of Agenor of the dynasty of Inachids, sister of the major founder of Thebes Kadmos and cousin of Danaos king of Argos, who was abducted to Crete by Zeus and centuries later gave her name to the continent of Europe.

Deadalus in Crete
Deadalus sailed to Crete from his native Athens to escape death sentence for the murder of his nephew that he had hurled down from the Acropolis out of jealousy of his talent. Daidalos, despite having convicted such a crime, was welcomed by Minos, king of Crete as a famous artisan.
