Freedom Paragliding started operating in 1993 by Dionysis Vlassopoulos. The sport back then was little known in Greece, but the owner, having travelled and trained in other European countries, thought of developing a professional school, based on European standards but yet in harmony with the particularities of a Mediterranean country like Greece.

The whole atmosphere in the field of paragliding back in the '90s was actually a challenge for us to create and progress. So we did.
The discovery of paragliding gave most people the ability to fly, covering in a way a primordial dream... Never before in human history another generation had this opportunity. So, we were fortunate to get on board of searches and developments and travel with it. We went through the stage of passion for flight, which is accompanied by the ignorance of danger, because of the young age, and we finally reached the point where we managed to create something more mature. The past knowledge became experience and responsibility. The result was the inauguration of a teaching school with learning methods such as SIV, XC, Acro, Sport Seminars. We also developed the pilots' education levels, established the technical inspection of equipment on European standards and stayed loyal to using high quality equipment during training and beyond.
In previous years, the races were an important event for the pilots' development. The Freedom Team that we created managed to win 12 championships and countless cups over the years. These athletes are now great instructors and continue to contribute to the evolution of paragliding.
All these and many more, made Freedom a benchmark for Greek paragliding. Initially, we did not know where we would go, but now, covering the 3rd decade in the field, we feel the mutual respect of time and duty.
Time has made us one of the best schools in the country, that has certified the attendance of dozens of world champions and enjoys the respect of people who lived the experience of flying with us.
And we continue with the same passion for creativity, but with more experience, knowledge and wisdom. Come! Fly with us!
