The historical center of the western part of Attica region is Egaleo, a modern and busy suburb with a wide shopping district. Peristeri is the fifth most populous municipality in Greece in 2008. An important industrial city in western Attica is the historical Eleusina. Menidi is also a suburb with advantageous position on the foothills of the Mount Parnitha and healthy climate. The easy access of these suburbs to the large industrial centers of Attica is the main reason that became densely populated.

How to get to Western Attica

Starting from Athens you can take either the “Attiki Odos” highway with direction to Eleusina or the Athens-Corinth highway with direction to Aspropyrgos.
