Aegina Island with kids
27-03-2013 17:19If you visit Aegina during summer period there are lots of activities to keep your little ones occupied for many days. It is a perfect choice for families as it is quite without crowds and traffic.
Check out how you can make sure that your kids will have fun and let you have fun too!
Beaches
You can visit a different one each day of your stay, no kid ever becomes bored with the beach. In some organized beaches you can even find free use of inflatable toys in the sea. At Kamares beach there is a sea trampoline from which kids are bouncing into the sea. In Agia Marina the beach is perfect for toddlers and smaller kids with its shallow waters.
Water Park
If your kids prefer swimming in a poll then you can visit the Water Park. It is located about 2 km from Aegina. With two pools for older and younger kids, a small slide for little ones and three sliders for older kids you can seat back and enjoy the sun as your children are splashing around.
The environment is perfectly safe with lifeguards standing by and snacks , drinks and meals are available.
Cinema
An outdoor cinema is where you could go in the evening. At least one night a week you will find a movie suitable for children.
Keep in mind that the first show starts at 9pm , so if it is late for your children it is better to encourage them to have a nap in the evening so they can stay up longer.
Hellenic Wildlife Hospital
You can find it in Pacheia Rachi, the hospital treats over 3.000 wild animals and birds every year with the aim of releasing them back in nature.
They can show you around the place anytime.
Day Trip to Agistri Island
A short boat trip that your children will enjoy will bring you to Agistri. A very small island , you don’t have to walk a lot to find a beach or a café with a swimming pool.
Day Trip to Moni Island
It is another good way to spend another day with no stress and fuss. A small taxi – boat from Perdika harbor will get you to Moni in a few minutes.
Kids will have great time at the beach and spying the animals who live there.
