Taste is memory. Create yours in Nafplio.
With these words Giorgos and Katerina welcomed us in their traditional grocery store in Naplion, a small paradise of authentic pure Greek products.
In recent years there has been a recovery in traditional food, with more and more people looking for handmade products, with no preservatives, no flavor enhancers. This is what this young couple thought and decided to leave their jobs in Athens and return to their place of origin to create something of their own, something human, something totally Greek.
So at the end of 2013 George and Katerina moved to Nafplio, looking for small producers who produce pure products from the best varieties to enrich their shop. George's family owns the Rozis' diary that operates in the area, products of which are awarded for their taste and quality and you can find them in their store of course. This is how this grocery store became a small paradise for those who love the healthy Mediterranean diet.
On the shelves you will find a wide variety of cheeses and saucages, honey, jams, spoon sweets, various sauces and dips, spices and aromatic herbs, dried fruit, pickles and bulbs, mushroom products, handmade pasta, legumes, juices, tea varieties, nuts and many more delicacies.
Both Greeks and foreigners visit Nafplio and the Anapliotiko to buy traditional Greek products that promote good health and ensure a healthy diet.
For you, therefore, looking for quality handmade products instead of those widespread in big super markets, we have some good news: Anapliotiko Grocery has an online store so that you can buy anything you need. Phone delivery works as well.
Enrich your diet and enjoy Greek products wherever you are!
LocationApart from Greece’s first capital city, Nafplion is also the capital of tourism in Greece as it holds the reigns of visitors’ favourite weekend destination. The seaside port city of Nafplion has a wide variety in hotels and guesthouses for your accommodation and many restaurants and cafes. It is a place ideal for strolling around picturesque alleyways between neoclassical mansions or on the waterfront facing the islet of Bourtzi and the dominant Castle of Palamidi nested on the cliff above.
A trip to Nafplio is pleasant no matter when you go and you can combine visits to nearby areas such as Mycenae, Epidauros, Tolo, Argos, Tyrintha and Porto Cheli. Mycenaean treasures, Venetian fortresses, traditional villages and beautiful beaches all make a trip to this part of the Peloponnese well worthwhile. On the top of the cliff are the castle of Palamidi and the old citadel Its Kale both offering great views to the sea and the surrounding area, revealing the city’s long history. The islet-castle you face from the waterfront of Nafplio is the famous Bourtzi, a Venetian Fortress built in 15th century which has served as a prison in the past. Nowadays, Bourtzi serves as a place of culture with many events and concerts taking place.
